VSPA to Examine National Agreement
January 20 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm EST
The Vermont Student Privacy Alliance (VSPA) is a collaboration of Vermont supervisory unions and school districts that share common concerns around student privacy. Since their last meeting in November, a legal review has been completed on the new national student data privacy agreement template and how the agreement compares to Vermont’s current contract template. A data privacy agreement is a legally binding document that outlines the allowed collection and uses of student data by software vendors and online systems. On January 20 at 3:30 pm, Peter Drescher of the Essex Westford SU will report on the legal review and we will discuss whether the VSPA would like to switch to the national agreement. Technology Education Directors and IT leaders are invited to attend. If you would like to attend, please send me an email.
