OPALS is a library automation, digital information and assets management system. The system is used by school, academic, public and special libraries to manage print, digital information subscription databases, STEM kits, music scores, Chromebooks, calculators, and cameras. Applications include standards-based cataloging, circulation, advance booking – order processing – and scheduled deliveries, single sign-on authentication, and resource sharing (interlibrary loan). Integrated portal utilities enable librarians to develop custom library websites without having to use third party services. Support services include hosting, customer support, professional development and training.
