Vita-Learn is thrilled to announce a major new initiative! We are officially becoming the Vermont Affiliate for the nationally recognized Invention Convention Worldwide (ICW).

In this new role, we are taking on the leadership of the Vermont Invention Fair and are excited to grow this incredible program for students across the entire state.

To make this possible, we are partnering with the outstanding Young Inventors’ Program (YIP), the New Hampshire affiliate based at UNH’s Leitzel Center, who has been instrumental in supporting the program’s growth in the region. We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to the Vermont Day School, which has championed the Vermont Invention Fair and built a strong foundation. Vita-Learn is honored to take the baton and expand the program to reach students in every corner of Vermont.

What is the Young Inventors’ Program?

The Young Inventors’ Program (YIP) is a flexible, K-12 project-based learning curriculum that aligns with state and national standards. Through hands-on learning, research, and testing, students don’t just learn about STEM—they becomeinventors. They explore STEM principles while developing critical 21st-century skills in problem-solving, design thinking, and communication.

Our Goal: A Statewide Celebration of Innovation

We invite schools across Vermont to bring the Young Inventors’ Program to your students. You can then nominate your students to showcase their inventions at the statewide 2026 Vermont Invention Fair on March 28, 2026.

Select students and their inventions will represent the state of Vermont at the Invention Convention U.S. Nationals, hosted at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, MI, in June 2026! With the support of sponsors, Vita-Learn is already working to fund a scholarship program to help cover the cost of travel for our Vermont delegation.

We are so excited to embark on this journey and provide this incredible opportunity to Vermont’s students and educators. We can’t wait to see what our students will invent!
