Empowering Education: Introducing the Vita-Learn Individual Member Professional Development Reimbursement Program
At Vita-Learn, we are steadfast in our commitment to transforming Vermont education through the seamless integration of information technology. We recognize the pivotal role that professional development plays in achieving this mission, and it is with great excitement that we announce the launch of the “Vita-Learn Individual Member Professional Development Reimbursement Program.”
About the Program:
In line with Vita-Learn’s dedication to promoting and supporting information technology in Vermont education, the reimbursement program is designed to assist individual Vita-Learn members in their pursuit of professional development, training, and networking opportunities. To be eligible, members must have held their individual membership for a minimum of 90 days (3 months).
Qualifying Professional Development Activities:
Vita-Learn understands the diverse nature of professional development, and as such, we welcome applications for a variety of activities, including conferences, workshops, seminars, university courses, online courses, or any combination related to K12 education technology work. Reimbursement covers course fees, registration fees, course materials, lab fees, travel, hotel, meals, and similar costs, up to an annual limit of $400 per member. Importantly, reimbursement is limited to one approved activity per Vita-Learn membership year for each member, and Vita-Learn sponsored professional development activities are also eligible.
For those with current Individual Vita-Learn memberships, funding of up to $400 per year is available for professional development reimbursement. The allocated funds operate on an annual budget, from July 1st through June 30th of the following calendar year. Applications will be processed on a first-apply basis until the budgeted funds are fully allocated. It is essential to note that this funding is intended to complement, not replace, district professional development funding. Applicants are encouraged to explore local district funds first and apply early.
The application process is straightforward:
- Membership Check: Ensure your Vita-Learn membership is current when submitting your application.
- Membership Duration: Members must have held individual membership for at least 90 days before the start of the professional development activity.
- Submission Timeline: Applications must be received at least one month before the professional development activity’s start date to allow ample time for review.
- Certification Form: Include a signed copy of the certification form with your application.
Vita-Learn recognizes the importance of investing in the growth and development of our members. We believe that by providing this reimbursement program, we can empower educators to reach new heights in their professional journey.
