A Personal Note About the Vermont Fest Conference:
Vita-Learn and Vermont School Library Association (VSLA) desire to ensure the most productive, and safest, meeting experience possible in consideration of the latest local and national guidance regarding vaccines, masks, and related matters.
We believe that mask wearing when combined with being in good health, and being vaccinated against COVID-19, is foundational to the safety of our event participants; many of whom are employed by primary schools whose students are currently ineligible for a COVID-19 vaccination due to age restrictions, and/or have young children at home who are also ineligible for a COVID-19 vaccination, and/or have exposure to children or adults who are immunocompromised and at high-risk of COVID-19 related complications, and/or are immunocompromised themselves. With these considerations in mind, Vita-Learn and VSLA have updated our Duty of Care plan to guide your participation in the 2021 Vermont Fest conference in Killington, VT.
Thanks for your patience with us during this challenging time. As you well know, every day seemingly offers new insights, considerations, and decision points for managing meetings, travel, and human interactions.
Best Regards,
Jeff Mao
