How to get kids reading over the summer without getting burned!

Getting students to read over the summer is always a challenge. But as educators we know how important it is for students to keep reading to reduce the summer slide. This year that may be more important than ever. Colchester Middle School has found a lot of success with our school-wide program that incorporates student voice and choice and culminates in a celebration of reading each fall. Our program provides a good opportunity to introduce quality titles with diverse authors and characters to our students and families. Come find out how we do it and share your own school’s successes!
