Special Need Students and Online Learning

Block D – October 28, 4:30 PM

Special Need Students and Online Learning

In this workshop, we’ll be looking at both the practice and the logistics involved in providing accommodations.  We’ll look at Maestro and walk through how to submit and view documents in a student’s profile.  We’ll overview the “standard” accommodations on the VTVLC website and brainstorm how to provide other accommodations as needed.

Presenter Bio: Terri Vest has been teaching in Vermont schools for over 35 years.  In 1999, she was one of the first Vermont cohort for National Board Certification.  In 2011 Terri was an NEA Foundation Award for Teaching Excellence recipient.  She has also been a finalist for the National Teacher Hall of Fame.  Terri now works part time at Twinfield School as the online teacher and part time for VTVLC, helping with Special Education accommodations.
